Morten and Camilla seperated.

It has been confirmed : Morten Harket and Camilla Malmqvist Harket will
separate.. In fact they already are - now they are doing all they can
to make the break-up al less painful as they can for their three
children. Morten Harket and Camilla M. Harket confirm this through
their lawyer Ascar Ihlebaek.

"I can say that they live separated. They each live in their own place
in Oslo."

The nine-year-old wedding has been under stress for quite a while. They
have been living separatley for a while, and have found a temporary and
practicalk way to share time with the kids.

Peaceful

Morten Harket and Camilla Malmqvist met in 1987. They got married in
1989. The couple is trying everything to avoid a painfum fight now.
With the help of lawyer Oscar Ihlebaek, they wish to come to an
agreement to take care of the children and to divide the millions in a
peaceful and non-dramatic way.

"It is important for Morten and Camilla to solve this together and with
as little drama as possible. I am impressed by the way they want to
handle this", Ihlebaek tells VG.

They are coming to an agreement which puts the children's wishes and
needs in the first place : most possibly living together with either
parent and in the largest possible stability in these turbulent times.
"If all break-ups were handled like this one, Norwegian courts would
have a lot more spare time."

The couple has agreed on taking care of the kids first. The property
will come next. They will now start this process together with Ihlebaek.

"I am convinced that also this part of the separation will be handled
in a dignified way."

The couple will take care of this themselves, with the help of Ihlebaek
who provides juridical advice. But Ihlebaek says he only wants to do
this as long as the mutual agreement is there.

"I have no reason to believe that this will change. But in the case the
mutual agreement blows, and each partner will take his own sollicitor,
I will retreat. I can't represent just one of the partners if such a
problem would show."
