"Boys against smoking" Morten Harket and Ole Klemetsen form the new front pair who should convince thousands of Norwegians to quit smoking. These celebrities are on the barricade for a new anti-smoking spray which gets launched today (today being somewhere in January, I think). The cancer organisation is sceptic. "When we know that 70 percent of the smokers in Norway wish to quit smoking, there's room for people who want to gain some easy money with this. Many of the products that are brought upon the market, do not really work", Kalle Lund, leader of Den Norske Kreftforening (The Norwegian Cancer Organisation), says. The organisation does not know the new spray and will therefore not support nor 'doom' it. Part of the proceeds from the sale of the new anti-smoking spray will go to a fund that will support research projects and information services to the public. The focus will be on Children and youths. Both Harket and Klemetsen have accepted to seat in the board of the fund. The production firm of the spray, Gum Tech, assures that neither Harket nor Klemetsen receive any money for the job. Big Market (This paragraph deals with Lund stating that anti-smoking products gain their companies 65 to 70 millions NOK every year, and although it is a good thing that a part of the proceeds go to research, one should remember that the main goal of these companies is to win money. Then it goes on : ) On the other hand, he (Lund) believes that Harket's and Klemetsen's engagement will have a positive influence on youth. Then more blah blah, nothing about Morten past that line. Sorry for today's lousy English - I am really tired. Only one more thing, a piece of advice for Jason : yes, by all means, hang around the venue - there's quite some chance you'll meet the band, and since they're really nice, down to earth people, they won't feel too big-headed to have some lively conversation going on with fans !
