A-Ha Together Again

So it has finally been decided - a-ha will go on. At a press conference today, the band told us that they will release a new album in 1999. By Unn Conradi Andersen (translation by Sabine Clement) The first occasion you will see the band play together again, will be on the Nobel Concert in Oslo Spektrum at December 11. But there will be many more chances to see the group in action on stage: a-ha unveiled today that they are planning a world tour in the year 2000. For long, there has been speculation if Magne Furuholmen, Paul Waaktaar Savoy and Morten Harket were on track to find each other again. In accordance with the rehearsals for the Peace Price Concert, Morten Harket already told that the guys had found the chemistry again and were writing a new song for the concert. At that time, he already hinted that the band would perhaps release an entire new album next year. Today, the band confirmed as well that they will continue under the same name. a-ha is the first Norwegian band who landed the first spot on the Billboard single list. The ambum "Huntin High and Low" was a worldwide success. Until Aqua entered the scene, a-ha was undeniably Norway's biggest popsuccess of all time, with their 20 million sold records, 8 MTV awards and uncountable hitsingles in the eighties and the first half of the nineties.
