Many challenges lie ahead; first of all they will participate in the Nobel show in Oslo Spektrum 11 December, a concert that has been offered to 150 countries and will be a unique chance for a-ha to show themselves to the world, after five years of not working together. The next step is to find out if this reunion makes them want to do more. Right now the trio is rehearsing a new song which will be presented during the Nobel show together with an older a-ha song. The greatest challenge depends on the boys deciding they want to work together again, and if that happens we might see a new a-ha album as soon as next autumn. All three have previously said that it seems natural to make at least one more album with a-ha, but that the time must feel right. LAYING LOW Harket, Waaktaar and Furuholmen have chosen to lay low prior to the Nobel concert in four weeks' time. They will not be giving any ordinary media interviews for fear of building up too high expectations around the fact that the three are now performing together for the first time in many years. VG's sources have hinted that there will be an invitation-only meeting at the beginning of December, with a-ha present. Key people from the Norwegian music industry will also be invited, including the directors of several Norwegian record companies. NEW CONTRACT? If we look at the fact that a-ha has for the last year been working hard to get away from their current contract with the British Warner Music, this could mean that the trio is already working to establish a new contract, this time with a Norwegian company. NEW SONG In the end - if the chemistry between the boys works well in these weeks as they prepare for their comeback at the Nobel concert - this probably means that we can celebrate the new millenium with a brand-new a-ha CD.
